STS Gardening Services – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by STS Gardening Services. By accepting a quotation or booking our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for 7 days from the date issued.
Quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection. If additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
3. Booking & Acceptance
A booking is confirmed once you have accepted our quotation by email, message or verbally.
4. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept bank transfer and cash.
For larger projects, a deposit or staged payments may be required.
Late payments may result in additional charges where permitted by law.
5. Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations where materials have been purchased or significant time has been allocated.
6. Weather
Gardening work is weather dependent. If severe weather makes it unsafe or impractical to carry out the work, we will rearrange your appointment at the earliest suitable opportunity.
7. Access
Customers are responsible for ensuring safe access to the property and garden on the agreed date. Any locked gates, restricted access or obstacles that prevent work may result in delays or additional charges.
8. Waste Removal
Green waste removal is only included where stated on the quotation.
If waste removal is not included, all cuttings and garden waste will be left neatly on site unless otherwise agreed.
9. Garden Maintenance
Regular maintenance visits may vary depending on seasonal growth, weather conditions and the condition of the garden.
10. Hedges, Shrubs & Trees
We will carry out pruning and trimming using professional judgement and accepted horticultural practices. We cannot be held responsible for the future health or appearance of plants that are diseased, neglected, damaged or previously incorrectly maintained.
11. Hidden Obstacles
Customers should inform us of any hidden hazards including irrigation systems, underground services, cables, pipes, lighting, ornaments or other concealed objects. STS Gardening Services cannot accept responsibility for accidental damage to items that were not visible or disclosed before work began.
12. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Securing pets during our visit.
Removing valuable or fragile items from the work area where possible.
Informing us of any known hazards or access restrictions.
13. Damage
While every care is taken, accidental damage can occasionally occur. Any concerns should be reported as soon as possible so they can be investigated promptly.
14. Liability
STS Gardening Services maintains appropriate care when carrying out work. Our liability is limited to the value of the work undertaken unless otherwise required by law.
15. Photographs
We may take photographs of completed work for our portfolio, website and social media. We will not publish your address or personal information without your permission. If you would prefer that no photographs are taken or used, please let us know before work begins.
16. Privacy
Any personal information you provide will only be used for quotations, bookings, invoicing and customer communication. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law.
17. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always aim to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.
